What would happen if…

My whole life I thought I would be married with kids in a beautiful house with dogs, all by 25 years old. Well Life had another plan for me. I’m 38 years old and I am very single. I haven’t been on a date in 3 years and when I go out with my friends I never get hit on. I honestly don’t know why this is, I’m out going and love joking around and have a good time. Of course all my friends don’t have single friends or the ones they do have are players(their words no mine). I was recently in a wedding and looked around at all the couples that where there and I couldn’t help but wonder when was it going to be my time? When was I going to have my Mr. Right? Was I ever going to get married? Was I ever going to have kids? Ahhhhh!!!!! You can see where this can drive me crazy. Focusing on something that I have absolutely no control over is not healthy, this I know. I often say if I could just look into the future and know that I will be happily married with kids, then maybe I could stop obsessing over wether I’m going to get married or not. Since that is not realistic I have to come up with another plan. I’m sure you can tell by now that I’m a planner. I plan everything it’s how work. So summer is right around the corner and of course I have planned my monthly goals, budget and vacations. What if I stop worrying about if I will ever find true love and get married and have kids. I mean really just stop, no more asking people if they know any single guys or when I go out with friends just focus on them and not be scanning the room for guys. Starting today I am going to put all my energy into myself. I’m going to focus on the things I need to do for myself to make myself a better person. For one whole year I am going to stop focusing on something I have no control over and just focus on bettering myself. My hopes are that by the end of 2017 I will have accomplished a lot of my major goals and made myself a better me. I know it’s not going to be easy by any means. I have been single for over 10 years. I have been singing the “I’m going to die alone” song for way to long. During this year I’m going to take you on my journey of learning how to be ok with being single. My goal is to focus on the things I can change and give the things I can’t change to God. I want to live a completely happy life and as long as I obsess over if I’m going to get married and have kids or not, my life will never be fully happy. I’m looking forward to keeping you guys updated with My Journey of what would happen if…

This month has been amazing so far. As you guys know it’s my birthday month and I have been taking full advantage of all the benefits of it being my birthday. One of my favorite things about my birthday month is getting FREE stuff just because I was born. A lot of  people have asked me how I have been getting so many free stuff and how can they get some. Well here it goes…

Most places that offer freebie for your birthday have clubs to sign up for and require you to be signed up for at least a month before your birthday.

IHOP: This lovely birthday place has one of the best birthday deals arounds. Sign up for the Pancake Revolution and you will get a free full stack of the famous Rooty Tooty Fresh ‘N Fruity Pancakes right away and on your birthday and also on the 1-year anniversary of when you signed up. How amazing is that!

STARBUCKS: If you are a Rewards member then you will get a email on your birthday for your free Starbucks coffee or beverage. I have to say that’s a pretty good Birthday pick me up.

NOODLES AND COMPANY: Join the E Club and receive a email for a free pasta bowl of your choice for dine in or take out. I have never been here before, I signed up for the E Club but I really enjoyed my free pasta bowl for my birthday and I look forward to going there again.

These are just a few of the amazing freebies I get during my Birthday month and I look forward to finding even more next year. I have also recieved 15% and 25% off at some of my favorite stores but since I  called this  freebies I didn’t include those.

I encourage  everyone to go out there and find places in your neighborhood that offers free birthday stuff. Honestly this world would be nothing without you and for that you all deserve a little something special. Enjoy and don’t forget to LIVE!!

I’m so excited that today is my birthday. I am usually excited for this big day but I am super excited this year because I have been through one  hard year last year. My dad was fighting Cancer and now he’s at piece. The one thing I have learned through watching this great man fight to live and wanting to have more memories and share more love with his family is that I have been just going through the movement of living but I haven’t been really living. Well today not only marks another birthday but it marks the start of a year that will be filled with me living everyday to it’s fullest.

For 365 days I will do stuff that I have always wanted to do or have put off doing for whatever reason. I don’t know about you guys but I have driven by runners and said “I wish I would run regularly.” or looked and restaurants  and said “oh that would be nice to eat there.” Well no more of that. Everyday I will do something I have been wanting to do and just never made time for. They may repeat themselves or be something small and sometimes be something big. The point of this is to consciously do something daily that will make me be a better me and help me not just move through life but to really LIVE. I want to honor my father by fully living this one life I have and making as many amazing memories as possible. I hope to encourage  people to step out  of their daily routine and do something that they have talked about doing but never make time to do.

Every week I will post all the things I did daily for that past week. I can’t wait to share with you guys what I have been doing and how I feel. I love you guys and remember to LIVE!
